The Russian delegation, which included the Special Representative of the Russian President for the settlement of Syria, Alexander Lavrentv, Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Vershinin, in addition to representatives of the Russian Ministry of Defense, held talks with the Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council Ali Shamkhani, and consultations with the Iranian Foreign Ministry Senior Assistant to the Iranian Foreign Minister for Political Affairs Hussein Gabri Ansari."

The two sides also discussed preparations for a new Russian-Iranian-Turkish summit in the framework of the Astana formula, and exchanged views on the overall issues related to the development of the situation in Syria and the entire Middle East.

A Turkish security delegation has been in talks for days in Russia focused on the situation in Idlib, the interests of this alliance ran into each other in the midst of Turkish confusion.

In the past, Russia has escalated media against Turkey and its mercenaries in Idlib and accompanied crowds of regime forces towards the city amid expectations of a military operation there.

Observers believe that Turkey sought to keep its mercenaries in Idlib by changing their status and entering into the political process through the so-called "Constitutional Committee" and that Russia turned a blind eye to these movements in the past period bu the confusion of Turkey and the attempt of the recent approach to the United States called on the Russians to put pressure it in Idlib.

Because of Russian pressure on Turkey and its mercenaries in Idlib, the latter was forced to compromise and promote a joint Russian-Turkish military operation in Idlib, where the latter would be the loser.

The past period has witnessed an undeclared disagreement between Russia and Iran, Tehran accuses Moscow, regardless of Israeli raids on its positions in Syria, amid talk of Russian satisfaction over getting the Iranian forces out.
