Olive Convoy …. in rejection to uprooting olive trees in Afrin

The intellectuals of al-Jazeera and Euphrates regions have launched campaign under slogan "Olive Convoy, rejecting to destroy of the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries to Afrin nature and uprooted of the olive trees.

The Turkish occupation's brutal practices are still continuing against Afrin canton, causing unthinkable devastation, to Afrin nature, after burning the forest trees in Jabal Hawar, according to statistics, the Turkish occupation uprooted more than 12,000 olive trees, not to mention the theft of Afrin oil and its sale in European markets.

The campaign will be launched in 5, Feb, 366 olive trees will be planted from Kobani territory to Derik area in Qamishlo, and the number of 366 trees according to the numbers of Afrin villages.

ANHA interviewed with the co-chair of The intellectuals of al-Jazeera and Euphrates regions Leyla Ibrahim, said " it is scheduled this campaign will continue for week, and added "Turkish occupation's attacks caused unthinkable devastation to Afrin canton."

She pointed out the goal of planting the trees is to prove to the foes who uproot the olive trees that they will not be able to undermine our will or destroy our will, they uproot trees and we plant them, so we respond to them."

Leyla concluded her speech demanding from the international organizations to put pressure on the Turkish occupation to stop its crimes and violations against the nature and the Afrin people.
