Afrin residents, youths: We to continue resistance, support Leyla Guven

Under the slogan "In the Spirit of Prisons' Resistance," the Detainees," "Rise up and Break the Severe Isolation on the Leader and Liberate Afrin," the sit-in organized by the Syrian Revolutionary Youth Movement in Fafin district in al-Shahba areas continues for the third day in a row to stand in solidarity with the resistance of the detainees and the hunger strikers inside and outside Kurdistan, and to support Leyla Guven's resistance.

In this context, ANHA correspondent interviewed some young people and the people of Afrin participating in the sit-in to support the resistance of detainees in prisons and Leyla Guven who has been on hunger strike since 88 day.

In this regard, the citizen Zehida Dinkli said that they organize a sit-in on Sunday to support the resistance of the detainees in the Turkish fascist prisons and the resistance of Leyla Guven and her comrades' hunger strike demanding the lifting of the isolation on the leader of the Kurdish people Abdullah Ocalan. As Afrin residents, we support their historic resistance and will continue the uprising until the liberation of Afrin and lifting the isolation of Ocalan are achieved.

The citizen Ahmed Musa stressed that the resistance of the prisons that started from Mazloum Dugan, Kamal Pir and their comrades is being revived today through the resistance of Leyla Guven and her imprisoned comrades, and that it is a continuation of that resistance. He said, "We, by our activities and our uprisings, want to continue the approach of strugglers and martyrs and escalate resistance to fulfill the goals of our martyrs and our leader."

While the young woman Farida Abdo said that the resistance of the Kurdish people began in prisons and this resistance continues to this day. The leader of the Kurdish people, Abdullah Ocalan, has been also continuing the resistance since 20 years in Imrali prison for the cause of his people and as young women, they organized themselves and participated in the sit-in activities to support the resistance of Leyla Guven and demand the liberation of Ocalan.

While the citizen Soheila Sheikh Ahmed said that the resistance of Leyla Guven whose hunger strike entered the 84th day to denounce the isolation of Kurdish leader Abdullah Ocalan. Soheila called all the peoples of the Middle East, especially women to follow the footsteps of the activist Leyla Guven and support her resistance.

The citizen Raniya Sheikho said that the Turkish state must know that it will not be able to break the will of women with its dirty policies. These policies increase our strength and will. We will continue the uprising and resistance at all levels until the liberation of Afrin and the freedom of the leader Ocalan are achieved.
