MSD adopts vital items, determines priorities for next time

The presidential council of MSD held a meeting to evaluate the stage through which the area passes, and the developments that are witnessed in the area.

The meeting was held at the meetings hall in MSD headquarter in Ain Issa district in Girê Spî canton. Moreover, the co-chair of MSD Amina Omer, the deputy of the joint presidency Loqman Ahmi, the members of the presidential body of MSD in addition to the body's members abroad via skype and the spokesperson on behalf of al-Jazeera Tempest campaign Lilwa al-Abdullah participated in the meeting.

The meeting started with holding a minute of silence. Then, the participants evaluated the political and military situations witnessed in the area in general among them the American President Donald Trump's announcement of withdrawing the US troops from Syria, the matter of establishing a buffer zone, the diplomatic tours carried out by MSD representatives outside Syria and the negotiations with the Syrian regime.

After that, the participants adopted essential items and MSD's priorities during the next period. They are,

1- Rejecting the buffer zone under the Turkish administration.

2- Confirming the Syrian-Syrian dialogue.

3- Conducting diplomatic relations with the Arab and regional countries.

4- Communicating with the opposition abroad to polarize it.

5- Paying attention to the areas of north and east Syria with the existence of a clear strategy in this regard.

6- The continuation of combating terrorism after eliminating IS.

7- MSD advocate the political solution, and they must be representatives in any political negotiating solution towards Syria.

8- The continuation of the diplomatic relations with the United States of America in spite of the withdrawal decision.

9- Considering alternatives in order to repel the Turkish threats (a buffer zone under international auspices and supervision, an air embargo zone in north and east Syria).

10- Sending diplomatic delegations to the world states, especially the states involved in the Syrian affair to increase the support for Syria's democratic project.

During the meeting, the members of the presidential council ratified the application of the Free National Union Party, Roj Party and the Syrian Syriac National Council to the Syrian Democratic Council (MSD).

The meeting ended with discussing the organizational situation and MSD's works during the previous period.
