Electing new administration for PYD in Tel Hamis

The first conference of the PYD's organization in Tel Hamis district in Qamişlo canton was launched on Saturday under the slogan "With Will and Organization, We Will Liberate Afrin and Build a Decentralized and Democratic Syria" with the attendance of members, administrators and the co-chair of the party in addition to representatives of the political parties.

The conference's hall was ornamented with the flags of the party and banners with "In the spirit of resistance, we confront the Turkish occupation," "PYD is a guarantee to achieve the free and democratic society," "With resistance, we protect our gains and revolution" written on.

In the beginning of the conference, the co-chair of PYD Shahoz Hassen talked and commemorated the revolution and struggle's martyrs. He added, "We sacrificed thousands of martyrs to prove to the world that the democratic nation's idea represents the real solution for our people and the Middle East."

Hassen pointed out that from this perspective, we assure that the only solution for the issues in the area is the philosophy of the democratic nation and the system of the Democratic Autonomous Administration (DAA).

Hassen continued, "If we consider the Syrian situation, we will see that the ideas proposed are narrow and do no suit the Syrian people. The Syrian regime's trend seeks to the single-party control, and if this proposition was successful, the Syrian people would not revolt against it. In addition, the possibility to turn back has become impossible within the current developments."

In the end of his speech, Shahoz Hassen called for all the political parties to participate in the Democratic Autonomous Administration's experience. He said, "We suggest the idea of the democratic nation because we believe that it is the only way to the solution not only in Syria, but in the Middle East."

Then, five people were elected as members for the divan to administer the conference's works. After that, the political and organizational reports of the party were read, as well as the reports of the party's committees in the district were read and discussed.

After that, the voting process began to elect new administrative members for the party in Tel Hamis district. After the elections, twelve members among them six women were chosen. Furthermore, they swore the oath to do their works responsibly.

The conference ended with chanting the slogans that salute the resistance and glorify the martyrs.
