Yazidi Women's 2nd conference ended electing coordination's members

Under the slogan "In the Spirit of Resistance of the Age, We Will Escalate the Struggle of the Yazidi Women," the second conference of the Yazidi Women's Union in Afrin and Aleppo began in Serdem camp in al-Shahba canton.

The conference was attended by representatives of Şengal and Aleppo women in addition to hundreds of Afrin Yazidi women and representatives of the institutions of the Autonomous Administration and Kongra Star.

During the conference, the co-chair of the Constituent Council of North Syria Federation Hadiyya Yousef delivered a speech in which she pointed out that the enemies of the Kurdish people targeted the Yazidi women in all the massacres and genocide they committed against the people.

That was followed by reading the annual report of the Yazidi Women's Union in Afrin canton and Aleppo city.

The discussions was then opened and stressed the need to step up the work of the Union at the present time even more through meeting with the women periodically and intensifying the lessons of awareness.

The discussions addressed the need for women to protect themselves from the problems and obstacles of displacement and not to abandon the principles and ethics of the free women's philosophy.

Then, the rules of procedure of the Union were read and its articles were approved by a collective vote.

Three women members were elected for the coordination of the Yazidi Women's Union in Afrin. They were Aisha Seydo, Maryam Jendu and Rania Jafar who committed to performing the tasks entrusted to them and serving the Yazidi women.

The conference ended by issuing a final statement that included an explanation of the work of the conference and the most prominent decisions that were taken amid the emphasis on continuing to resist the occupation.
