Three messages Pompeo wants to deliver on his ME tour

During his Middle East tour, Mike Pompeo wanted to send three messages to Arab leaders, most notably his country's hatred of Iran, ISIS and the Muslim Brotherhood.

Tariq Masoud, a professor of public policy at Harvard University, spoke of the messages sent by US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo during his tour of the Middle East, pointing out that he learned from his speeches, especially in Egypt, three pivotal points.

"I think what the Secretary of State tried to convey to Arab viewers in the Arab countries was three things, first of all, the United States hated Iran," Masoud said in an interview with CNN.

"The second thing is that the United States stands against radical parties and movements of ISIS the most radical and violent, to gangs of the Muslim Brotherhood, and that the United States hates them as much as you do."

"The third thing is that the United States is seeking to support stability and organization instead of democracy and freedom, which were the focus of the Obama administration, messages that Arab leaders wanted to hear and I think they were happy to hear," Masood said.
