Autonomous Administration handed over 5 IS mercenaries to Kazakh government

Autonomous Administration in Northern and East of Syria, in the presence of the commanders of the Syrian Democratic Forces(SDF), handed over 5 mercenaries, 11 women and 30 children from IS detainees who had Kazakh citizenship to their country's government.

A source of Autonomous Administration in Northern and East of Syria told ANHA agency that months ago, in a meeting between the Syrian Democratic Forces and the Kazakh counter-terrorism forces and Autonomous Administration in Northern and East of Syria, it was agreed to hand over who had joined the ranks of IS mercenaries and discussed at the meeting how to send them to their country, as well as aspects of cooperation in the fight against terrorism.

According to the source, the extradition to their country was delayed for technical reasons, until the implementation of the agreement on January 5-2019 and were formally handed over to the Kazakh government, and mediated by the US.

It must be noted that Autonomous Administration in Northern and East of Syria signed an official protocol with the Kazakh government, in which 5 mercenaries, 11 women and 30 children were handed over.
