"Our choice is to resist any attacks on our regions"

In meetings held with them on the Turkish threats to launch attacks on the areas of northern and eastern Syria, the people of al-Darbasiya said that they reject these threats and they are ready to defend their areas against any attack.

We, as the people of northern Syria, have already protected our areas and liberated them from the hands of the mercenaries in the battle of Kobanî, Serê Kaniyê and many areas. We now confirm that we will resist beside the Syrian Democratic Forces and the People and Women Protection Units in one trench.

Ibrahim said, "We will defeat Erdogan's threats and the Turkish-backed mercenaries."

The citizen Masoum Ahmed said, "We, as the people of al-Darbasiya, have to choose one option which is the resistance and the struggle against any attacks on our regions."

On the other hand, the citizen Ibrahim Sido said, "In a time when we live in safety and stability and the end of the age of IS mercenaries is approaching in the region, Erdogan threatens to launch attacks on the areas of northern and eastern Syria."

For his part, the citizen Izz al-Din Sharif said, "As the citizens of al-Darbasiya, we will stand in the face of Erdogan's threats and we confirm that we will fight if attacks are launched on our regions."

Sharif called on the political parties to work together to deter any threats.

For his part the citizen Jumerd Younes said, "The threats did not affect us and we live our normal lives in security and stability. Every time Erdogan says that he will attack northern and eastern Syria, and he lies every time and his threats in the recent period are among his lies."

On the other hand, the citizen Hakim Ahmed said, "I am a citizen of al-Khattouna village in al-Darbasiya district. I came to the district in order to open a restaurant as a result of the security and stability we are living there, and now, Erdogan through his threats aims at committing massacres against our peoples as he is doing now in Afrin.

The citizen Mullah Mahmoud Sheikhi said, "Erdogan's goal by saying that he will liberate the peoples of northern and eastern Syria means that he will commit the massacres against the people. Erdogan, under the name of Islam, commits all these massacres, trying to occupy our land as the Ottomans did before.
