“On NY, we hope Syrians’ return to homeland”

With approaching of New Year's Day 2019, Hawar news agency (ANHA) has met with a number of Arab and Kurdish clans' notables who hoped that the new year would be a year of good and peace throughout Syria and the return of Syrians from abroad.

One of the notables of al-Naim clan Nuri Ibrahim al-Nouri, said "We congratulate our Christian in al-Raqqa in particular and Syria in general by coming New Year, hoping that the coming year will be a year of good, peace and security for the beloved Syria, which has suffered scourges of wars over the past years."

The notable of Kitkan Kurdish clan Khalil al-Ismail said: "We congratulate our Christian in al-Raqqa on Christmas, and we affirm that in the city of Raqqa and north Syria we live a participatory life, there is no difference between Sunni, Christian and Kurdish, we are all Syrians."

One of the Shiekh al-Jaabat clan Tala Hilal al-Sawab said "We bless and congratulate the Christian people in Syria on New Year's Day. We, the people of the city of al-Raqqa, bless and celebrate with our Christian brethren this holiday, and we hope that next year will be a year of peace and good for all Syrians."

It is worth mentioning that many of the sons of the Christian component were forcibly abandoned as a result of the domination of mercenaries by various names, and after liberation by virtue of the Syrian Democratic Forces a small proportion returned, not to mention the deliberate destruction of the churches in al-Raqqa by mercenaries.
