Al-Basira Hospital offers various medical services

The years of war passed through the hospital of al-Basira and passed through other facilities of life. The situation remained unchanged until May 2018. The Civil Council in Deir ez-Zor began the rehabilitation of the hospital.

The hospital's administration efforts have been transformed from an abandoned building into an effective hospital that welcomes patients and provides health services.

Dr. Oday Qanbar said "the hospital was a wall only and with only one bed for inspection, but the administration of the hospital with the rest of the cadres painstaking efforts to rehabilitate it. Within a period of no more than two months, an ambulance unit consisting of 8 beds, 12 ambulances and vehicles and a pharmacy with the necessary medicines were established.

"With continued support from the Civil Council, we have maintained the hospital building and provided it with shelves, beds, an ECO system, a gauze sterilizer, a baby balance, thermometer, pressure devices, four oxygen cylinders and an electric shock.

The hospital employs a specialized medical team of doctors, nurses and laboratory specialists. The hospital provides free services to the parents.

Dr. Qanbar said the medical staff in the hospital includes doctors and specialists according to a schedule of shifts 24 hours, and there are doctors in the hospital in the specialties of pediatric diseases, general practitioner, neurological, internal, women and the section Physical Therapy. Preparations are also underway for the opening of the Dental Medicine section, a section of incubators, an operating room and a radiograph.

The hospital receives support in equipment, devices and medicines from Deir ez-Zor Civil Council, the Kurdish Red Crescent, and Bihar Charity organization.
