People of al-Tabqa: Turkish threats are failed attempt to target social fabric

A number of residents of the city of al-Tabqa rejected the Turkish threats to North-East areas of Syria, pointing out that the purpose of such threats is to target the social fabric among the components of the region.

Last week, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan threatened to occupy North-East areas of Syria in an attempt to occupy territory liberated by SDF from tyranny and terrorism.

In this context, ANHA agency asked the opinion of the people of al-Tabqa city about the Turkish threats and conducted several meetings with them

Ibrahim al-Azawi, from the town of al-Bagouz in Deir ez-Zor and a resident of the city of al-Tabqa, he has displaced to it in sought of refuge for security and stability, he said: "We are used to such threats by the murderer Erdogan, it is not new, every time, when the mercenaries became under pressure in their last pocket in Deir ez-Zor, this criminal comes out to threaten the people of the region and acts of brutality to ease the pressure on IS mercenaries

The latest Turkish threats coincided with the approaching to liberate Hajin town by al-Jazeera Tempest campaign, which reached its final stage under the name of the "Battle to defeat terrorism" which target the last pocket of IS in north and east of Syria.

"We have not forgotten the Ottoman occupation for us was not a year or ten years, it was 400 years of occupation," he said. "Did he become the grandson of the Ottoman sultans and the spiritual father of IS who defending of the humanity and the freedom of peoples?!"

He added "We have to show the whole world the unity and cohesion among the peoples. We are all Syrians. Today we have a great responsibility to organize ourselves politically and militarily to defend our land"

"Are Syrian Democratic Forces who liberate the region, and who presented thousands of martyrs in defending of the people of the region threatened the national security of the Ottoman state? These threats show the international community that the Turkish state and IS mercenaries are two sides of the same coin. "

While the young Qusai al-Garib called on the youth of the region to revolt against this threat, which threatens the security and stability of the region, "the youth must take responsibility for defending and confronting any attempt to attack the region by the Turkish occupation."
