Yousef Khelwi: Decentralized Syria is only project that carries rebellious people's aspirations

Hawar news agency held a special interview with the member of the Executive Body of the Syrian Democratic Council (MSD), Yousef Khelwi, about the recent meetings held on the Syrian crisis in Astana and the Syrian-Syrian dialogue forum organized by MSD in Ain Issa on the importance of the Syrian-Syrian dialogue and the democratic and decentralized project.

Foreign meetings on the Syrian issue are not looking for a solution to the crisis

Khelwi said that the conferences and meetings held abroad on finding a solution to the Syrian crisis is only a gradual step and is not looking for a final solution to the crisis on the Syrian land, he added: "All the countries involved in Syria are competing for the extension of influence and hegemony and plundering the goods of Syria."

He said that the interest of Iran is the creation of the so-called Shiite crescent that extends from Baghdad to Yemen, while it differs from Turkey's as it has colonial and expansionist projects which have historical evidence.

Khelwi noted, "The Syrian Democratic Council is working to find a radical solution to end the crisis completely in Syria."

The proxy war ended

Yousef said that the proxy war ended and he added, "We in the Syrian Democratic Council are still convinced that these meetings will not succeed, and that they have no vision of a solution. The participating parties in Astana are working only to achieve their interests far from the aspirations of the Syrian people."

Decentralization is what fulfills the aspirations of the revolting people

The member of the Executive Council of the Syrian Democratic Council (MSD) Yousef Khelwi said that they have held dialogues to unite the ranks of the internal opposition to develop a permanent project to resolve the Syrian crisis, and they agree on a common formula to resolve the Syrian crisis away from agendas and external interventions.

Khelwi stressed that they are working to consolidate the project of the Autonomous Administration throughout Syria to serve the Syrian people and distribute the functions of the administration to the different spectra of the people.

He said that building a decentralized Syria is the only project that holds the aspirations of the Syrian rebellious people.
