Al-Darbasiya: We do not want war, but we will defend our homeland if it breaks out

People of al-Darbasiya district of al-Hasakah canton responded to the threats of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, who said on the 12th of this month that his country's forces would launch an offensive to occupy areas in northern and eastern Syria. The people said that they did not prefer war, but if they came they are ready to defend their land."

This  came in interviews conducted by Hawar News Agency, where the citizen Mardia Ahmed

 said ,"after the victories achieved by our people in the regions of northern Syria and after the People and Women Protection (YPG and YPJ)and the Syrian Democratic Forces(SDF) proved their capabilities to defeat terrorism and extremism, Turkey is now trying through its threats to occupy areas of north and east of Syria to slow down the operation of eliminating IS mercenaries."

In turn, the citizen Khalil Daoud pointed out that Erdogan through his threats seeks to destabilize the security and stability experienced by the people. Turkey is trying to occupy our areas to loot the goods of our land.

On the other hand, the citizen Abdul Wahab Tal Karma denounced Erdogan's threats and said ,

"We live in our homes with security and stability, thanks to of the sacrifice of the People's and Women's Protection Units and the Syrian Democratic Forces, and we refuse the occupation of our areas, and we are ready to defend our land.

The attitude of the people who expressed in different ways their rejection of the Turkish threats, where dozens of demonstrations went out against threats, in addition to the tents of sit-ins and the issuance of statements confirmed their rejection of the Turkish threats.

The United States and the European Union also rejected Turkey's military operation in northern and eastern Syria, blocking the way on Turkey, which has intentions to occupy parts of Syria and Iraq.
