Darwish expressed hope that all Kurdish parties would participate in emergency meeting

The Kurdish Progressive Democratic Party in Syria held a press conference today in its headquarters in Qamishlo city in al-Jazeera region regarding the appeal of the parties to hold an emergency meeting to block the Turkish threats to the north and east of Syria.

The head of the Democratic Progressive Party in Syria, Abdul Hamid Darwish demanded Kurdish intellectuals and academics in support of their initiative, and said If the Kurds unite their voice will be stronger to reach public opinion.

Darwish also appealed to the Kurdish political parties to meet and discuss their situation and get out of "this bottleneck we are going through and what must be done to get out of it."

He added: "As a brother, I call on them to avoid negative differences and attitudes against some of us, because we are not enemies of each other. On the contrary, we are friends and brothers. We can serve the Kurdish cause in Syria. Do not you see how Syria is going through the crisis after it fell into the hands of extremists and terrorists. "

On the Turkish threats to the north and east of Syria, member of the Political Bureau of the Democratic Progressive Party in Syria, Ahmed Suleiman, said  "We look seriously at the Turkish threats that have been launched recently, we see that the language of threat from the Turkish side somewhat eased but our areas are still at great risk, the political movement must solve its problems and participate in the meeting to be held at the headquarters of our party, "and Ahmed said that this meeting will serve the interests of our people.

Abdul al-Hamid Darwish pointed out that if they succeed in trying to unify the ranks of the Kurdish political movement, they will communicate with the Syrian, Russian and American governments "and make clear to them that the Kurdish region is safe and that we did not threat the Turkish state and do not want to fight with it.
