'Leyla Guven embodies character of women who refuse to surrender'

The co-chair of the Democratic Society Conference and the Parliamentarian of the Democratic People's Party (HDP) in Colemêrg city of Bakur Kurdistan (North Kurdistan), Leyla Guven, continues her hunger strike to break the isolation imposed on the Kurdish leader Abdullah Ocalan. The Turkish authorities have arrested her for her attitude against the attacks on Afrin.

In this regard, the women of ed-Dirbasiya pointed out that Leyla Guven is now resisting in the prisons of the Turkish state as she went on hunger strike for Ocalan who devoted his life to liberate the peoples from the oppression.

The citizen Rojka Suleiman said, "We affirm our support for the resistance of the parliamentarian Leyla Guven, whose noble position embodies the character of women who refuse to surrender, and her demands are the demands of all the Kurdish people."

On the other hand, the citizen Dejla Bederkhan denounced the practices of the Turkish occupation state against the politicians detained in prisons. She pointed out that Erdogan, through these practices, suppresses the attempts of liberation and democracy, and he targets everyone who tries to stand against his repressive policies.

She added, "We will revolt everywhere and escalate our activities until we release Ocalan and achieve the Kurdish people's demands for freedom and justice."

For her part, the young girl Hedla Fenno appealed to the humanitarian organizations to break the isolation on the Kurdish leader Abdullah Ocalan and called on them to move and put an end to the violations of the Turkish occupation state.
