Statistics of Afrin victims disclosed on World Human Rights Day

The Human Rights Organization in al-Jazeera region disclosed the statistics on the number of victims and missing persons in Afrin during a meeting held by the organization in Kobanî city on the occasion of the World Day of Human Rights.

Today, December 10, marks the 70th anniversary of the declaration and signing of the World Declaration of Human Rights in Paris, while the Human Rights Organization in al-Jazeera canton held a meeting for the people of Kobanî city on the Turkish violations of human rights and revealed the statistics of the kidnappers in Afrin canton and the number of victims under the Turkish occupation.

The meeting was held at the Cultural Center in the city of Kobanî, and the co-chair of the organization Avin Jomaa and a member of the Union of Lawyers in al-Jazeera region Mohammed Amin al-Nuaimi attended amid a large attendance by the people of Kobanî city.

According to the statistics, the number of victims of men and the elderly reached 783 people who lost their lives in the Turkish bombing, while 153 people have been killed recently in different ways, including 36 women and 54 children.

The number of women who lost their lives at the beginning of this year in Afrin after the Turkish bombardment and other killing operations was 207.

According to statistics, the number of kidnappers reached 623 people, and 55 cases of rape by Turkish soldiers and mercenaries belonging to the Turkish occupation army.

It is worth mentioning that the Human Rights Organization was founded in northern Syria in al-Jazeera region in 2013, while the organization opened a branch in the Euphrates region this summer.
