Turkish occupation opens institutions for kidnapping in Afrin

On 18 March, the Turkish occupation army and its mercenaries occupied Afrin canton, the thing which enforced the people of Afrin to leave it heading to al-Shahba canton. Thus, the occupation army and the mercenaries began to loot the city of Afrin, and this appeared in pictures and videos.

The Turkish occupation army is trying to legitimize what it is doing through the establishment of the so-called "Political Security".

ANHA agency has prepared a report with the assistance of sources, documenting the violations of the Turkish occupation army and its mercenaries in recent days.

Booty and theft resulted in breaking out disputes between the occupation army and the mercenaries

The disputes and contradictions between the Turkish occupation army and some of the mercenary gangs in Afrin increased, where direct clashes broke out on 17 November in the center of the city of Afrin and continued for three days in a row.

Dozens were killed and wounded in the clashes between the two sides, and the dead bodies have remained on the sidewalks for hours.

A source confirmed that the contradictions increased on the backdrop of disagreements over the sharing of properties of the people which they had stolen from the civilians' homes which the Turkish occupation army exports through the crossing border of the village of Hamam border to its territory.

With the curfew imposed in the city of Afrin, the mercenaries stole shops in Afrin at Newroz roundabout. The source confirmed that 160 oil tanks were stolen from only one house.

Abductions and an unknown fate

A source confirmed that the establishment of the Political Security is a step came from the Turkish occupation to legitimize the arbitrary kidnappings carried out in Afrin. The source also pointed out that the kidnapped are released after the occupation's earning a large amount of money; then, the same person is kidnapped against after a period with the aim of asking a ransom again.

A Child was killed in Bulbul

In an incident, the Turkish occupation army and its mercenary killed the child Hasan Khello, 15 years old, from the village of Bakhja in Bulbul district who lived in al-Zaidia neighborhood of Afrin. The mercenaries broke into the family's house and killed the child without knowing the details of the crime.

Thieving Public utilities

The mercenaries of the Turkish occupation army seized all the centers, buildings and public utilities such as electricity and water, communication institutions and others, and stole and looted their contents and traded them in other areas occupied by the Turkish occupation army.

According to the source, 80% of the land communications and electricity networks were stolen by the mercenaries for the extraction and sale of copper, and the wires of electricity poles were stolen in the main streets of Afrin and Shia district. It should be noted that the communications lines used to operate before the occupation of Afrin.

The Turkish occupation stole 10 electricity generators for post offices, three of them in the center of the city, while the two postal centers in Rajo district were turned into military headquarters.

Deprivation of Afrin residents from the olive harvest

The Turkish occupation army and its mercenaries prevented the residents of Afrin from harvesting the olive harvest this year and seized 90% of the olive harvest.

After the opening of a commercial crossing in the border village of Hamam by the Turkish occupation, hundreds of oil tankers were exported into the Turkish territory, and the mercenaries prevented exporting olive oil to the other Syrian areas.

Olive seasons continue to be looted and stolen in many villages such as the town of Maidanki in Shera district and the plains of Afraz village in Mobata district. In addition, the occupation took control of 15 thousand olive trees between the villages of Adama and Midan Akbes in Rajo district.

Burning trees and uprooting them

Since last month, the Turkish occupation army and its mercenaries have been burning and uprooting the trees.

The mercenaries burned the forests of the valley of Sarsin and Jarka valley in Rajo district, and nearly half of the forests of the Hawar Mountains; the sites of Bafran, Hawar Citadel and Risha Asieh.

The occupation also set fire to the forests of the neighborhood of al-Mahmudiya in Afrin city which is 30 hectares and planted with forest trees in 1965, in Jazeera Forest amid Midnki Lake and in the forests of Ramdana, Tetra, Haj Hasna, Sheikh Mohammed and Jolaga villages in Janders district, in addition to cutting of the trees there.

About 10,000 hectares of the 32,000 hectares of natural pine forests planted in Afrin area were burnt and cut according to a source.

Several sources reported that the mercenaries cut off a large oak tree known as the "Mamiya Abbas" Tree which is about 100 years old, and was a destination for the people in the slope of "Armot" on the road between Rajo district and the village of Midan Akbis.

The mercenaries have uprooted a more than 100-year-old Oak tree near Sheikh Hamza Shrine between the villages of Ali Kara and Zara in Bulbul district. This type of tree is of endangered species since if it is cut, it cannot grow again.

On the other hand, a video had been published on some of the news sites in which the owners of a workshop of cutting and selling firewood in the city of Sarkeb in Idlib confirmed that they buy olive trees and woodlands uprooted in Afrin to turn them into firewood.

In the face of all these violations, the European Human Rights Court rejected the complaints filed by Afrin residents and requested to transfer them to the courts of the Turkish occupation state; the main source of the violations.
