Why was 25th  day of the month declared world day to combating violence against women?

The United Nations announced on 25 November each year a World Day to combating Violence against Women ,after killing of the three sisters ,Mirabal in the Dominican Republic by Trujillo,then three sisters revolted against his rule and authority, and the violence has many types, The authoritarian mentality of all its manifestations is a systematic phenomenon of violence against women, often comes to the point of accepting it voluntarily and treating it as socially accepted as the highest level of slavery

Violence is considered means of  masculine domination of women depend on, coercion and denial, characterized by various forms of discrimination, oppression, and aggression, stemming from the control of men's authority in society, which takes various forms of psychological and physical damage.

Violence against women varies from the individual to the direct and indirect abuse of women by hand, tongue or deed, and between collective (collective violence) perpetrated by a group of people on the basis of ethnic, sectarian or cultural identity, which is characterized by contempt, exclusion or liquidations , And what is official (violence of power), which is reflected in political violence against the opposition and the general classes of society, but all kinds of violence stem from the masculine mind of the nation state in our bet.

Women may be exposed to various forms of physical and psychological violence, sexual violence, spiritual violence, community violence, and verbal violence. One of the most common methods of women in our society is sexual, psychological and verbal violence, starting with threats, punches, beatings or using harmful means and tools, by throwing objects, pushing or holding them firmly as well as methods of physical violence that may lead to death directly such as burning, suffocation attempts, poisoning and the like.

Women are the most affected by violence

Since the outbreak of the Syrian crisis, women have suffered from major tragedies. And the women were considerably matreated by horrible violence practiced by  masculine world  system against women in Syrian society, and the mercenaries that have not stopped their attacks and practices against women. According to the statistics of human rights organizations announced at the beginning of the crisis, 10,000 women have been killed since the beginning of the crisis as a result of violent shelling and mass execution or as a result of torture, including 3,614 children and more than 461 have been assassinated  ,29 lost their lives under torture, and 1million Syrian women have become refugees in the neighboring countries

The number of women who have been exposed to violence has been further exacerbated by mercenary gangs' attacks and the masculine system, which attempts to obliterate the freedom of women in many Syrian areas, especially the areas under domination of the Turkish occupation forces ,Including the murder of young woman Rasha Basis where the scene of the crime was posted on social networking sites in mid-October

Hundreds of women, such as Rasha Bessis are still suffering  due to violence by occupation practices amidst the absence of morality and laws. The reason for the domination of masculinity and the exercise of a systematic system of authority in which women lost their most basic rights .

The legacy of the Mirabal sisters

History is repeated again in the brutal assassination of 1960, of three sisters, Patricia, Maria and Antonia, who decided not to be silent about injustice. And withstand in the face of the dictator,they left behind them good legacy, Whose father was a successful businessman, and they lived comfortable life, with their fourth sister. The absolute domination of the country by the dictator of the Dominican Republic, Rafael Trujillo (1930-1961) Through his secret alliance with the Church, aristocrats and the press, with his administration of police military authority. Where the three sisters were brutally assassinated by unknown assailants on 25 November and later revealed that the Dominican ruler Rovail Trujillo was behind the assassination. The assassination was a blow to the Trujillo regime. In commemoration of this occasion, the United Nations General Assembly has devoted its annual observance on the twenty-fifth of November, since 1999, to the World Day to Comabting of Violence against Women. The organization recommends that all official and non-governmental organizations and the media around the world promote the culture of eliminating violence against women.

World Day for the Elimination of Violence and Actual Reality

On 25 November, the General Assembly proclaimed World Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women and invited Governments, international organizations and non-governmental organizations to organize activities on that day aimed at raising awareness of this major issue (resolution 54/134 of 17 December 1999)

Women's supporters have marked 25 November as a day against violence since 1981, that history was taken from brutal assassination in 1961 of the three sisters Mirabal, who were activists politicians in the Dominican Republic, on the orders of the Dominican ruler Rovail Trujillo 1936

Despite the major developments that women have witnessed globally ever since, women are still subjected to violence. There are international charters that show that one out of every three women in the world is subjected to violence. More than 60 million women are deprived of life

And years have still passing , millions of women are raped by their relatives, friends, strangers, employers, co-workers or armed groups.
