Girê Spî people condemned Turkish attacks, demanded Ocalan's freedom

The youth demonstrated against the policies of the Turkish authorities, condemning the Turkish attacks against northern Syria and the violations that accompanied them, in addition to denouncing the American decision against the commanders of the Kurdistan Liberation Movement. The demonstrators also demanded the release of Kurdish leader Abdullah Ocalan.

The demonstration started from al-Alm Roundabout south of the city and toured a number of streets until it stopped at al-Qafes Roundabout in the city center.

The demonstrators held banners with, " Rise up for the Women Freedom" and " Rise up for the leader Freedom" ,"Our Leaders are in our Hearts", in addition to raising the flags of Syrian Democratic Forces and the flags of the Syrian Revolutionary Youth which called for the demonstration and organized it.

  During the demonstration, the co-chair of Girê Spî Council Hamid al-Abed and the administrator of the Syrian Youth Movement, Jewan Girê Spî, delivered speeches and addressed the role of the youth in building the future and protecting the homeland.

They stressed that it is necessary for the youth to continue their struggle against the Turkish fascism because the homeland needs those who protect it and the youth is its only hope, adding that "the youth will stand in the face of what the Turkish state is doing against our lands and our people at any cost."

The demonstration ended with slogans that saluted the spirit of resistance and the peoples fraternity and demanded the freedom of the leader Ocalan.
