Juhayna Mesto: We support all movements that advocate women's freedom

A number of women's organizations have announced the Orange Campaign and organized many events on the occasion of the International Day against Violence against Women. In this regard, ANHA agency met with the administrator of the Women's Committee in al-Tabqa Council, Juhayna Mesto, which indicated that they support all campaigns that support women's freedom.

"We, as women of al-Tabqa area and as Democratic Civil Administration, must confront violence with all its physical and psychological forms by raising the awareness of women, breaking fear barrier within them and developing their self-confidence and potential," she added.

She noted that the Women's Committee in coordination with the Women Department in al-Tabqa will organize special events on the Day of Combating Violence against Women, including the launch of a massive march in which the women in the area will participate, demanding the forgotten rights of women.

It is worth mentioning that many women's organizations have organized an Orange Campaign which is at the worldwide on the ninth of this month and will continue until the Day against Violence against Women on the 25th of the same month, knowing that they took the orange color as logo for themselves as it is a global symbol against violence.
