Preparations for mass march in Qamishlo canton

On 25 November, Kongra Star will organize a mass march in Qamishlo canton in al-Jazeera region on the occasion of the World Day of Combating Violence against Women. It is scheduled to invite all the female organizations to participate in the march.

Kongra Star in Qamishlo canton held a meeting on Monday in the western neighborhood of Qamishlo city in the presence of representatives of Kongra Star and the Democratic Society Movement, the Democratic Union Party and the administrators of the east and west districts of Qamishlo city.

The meeting resulted in the formation of a committee to prepare for a mass march that would be held in the city of Qamishlo on the occasion of the World Day of Combating Violence against Women. The preparatory committee will invite all Kurdish, Arab and Syriac female organizations in Qamishlo canton to participate in the march.

On 25 November, the preparatory committee dedicated the march to denounce all forms of torture and violence practiced against women, denouncing the isolation imposed on the leader of the Kurdish people Abdullah Ocalan and the attacks launched on the people of the area by the Turkish occupation army.

The preparatory committee will also communicate with the Community Protection Forces and the Internal Security Forces to ensure the necessary protection for the march.
