Kobanî International Film Festival continues on its 4th  day

The film "Rojava Film Commune" was launched on the 13th of this month to mark the anniversary of the  Amouda Cinema Massacre in1960, in which 250 children lost their lives, by organizing Kobanî Film Festival, in the presence of filmmakers, directors and representatives of the Democratic Autonomous Administration in Kobanî.

The festival, which has received more than 400 films from different countries around the world, has selected about 80 of them for the International Film Festival in Kobanî.

The films were showed on the second and third days of the festival for 6 hours each day, while the first day included the activities of the opening ceremony, which was attended by hundreds of people from the cities of northern Syria.

The festival showed short films and more than 60 minutes. In addition, the festival included an exhibition of photographs taken by photographers from around the world such as Mexico, Nepal, Indonesia, Syria and northern Kurdistan.

It is scheduled to offer an hour of short documentaries this evening, filmed by filmmakers during their travels in different countries.

The Kobanî International Film Festival will be held until the 19th of this month, while the films will then be shown in the camps of al-Shahba, Ain Issa and Makhmour in southern Kurdistan.
