PYD: Latest escalation by Turkey means total blow to resolve Syrian crisis

The first of November marks the fourth anniversary of World Solidarity Day with the historic resistance of Kobanî and human solidarity against global terrorism. This resistance, which began with purely self-determined efforts and draws its strength from the democratic nation's theory, proved that the choice of coexistence and peoples fraternity is the solution by which people can achieve their will and freedom through it.

This resistance has carried many tasks, the most important of which is that the Syrian revolutionary movement is right and the demands of the people of Syria

This resistance has thwarted the agenda of the terrorist organizations as IS, despite the huge support it received from the global terrorism center represented by the Turkish fascist regime, and the expansionist ambitions and Ottoman colonial goals through IS and terrorist organizations will not be achieved.

This means that comprehensive democratic change in the third line of democratic policy pursued by our party and dozens of Kurdish, Arab, and Syriac parties, the secular national democracy. Kobanî resistance and the international support which it has received confirm that the official and societal efforts of the United Nations can always be united against the dangers facing the world and particularly against the threats to global security and stability, as in the case of the intercontinental fascist phenomenon which is represented by IS.

Kobanî resistance also showed that the Kurdish people in Syria is a historical fact and through its democratic forces are more concerned with defending the issues of democratic change that guarantee the solution of all issues, foremost of which is the Kurdish cause. Kobanî resistance showed women's resistance as a protective symbol of the cause of women's freedom of self-defense against obscurantism and terrorism with all possible revolutionary potential.

We are in the General Council of the Democratic Union Party (PYD) and while we bow down to the heroes who have defeated terrorism in the streets of Kobanî to the last moment, as in the example of Arin Merkan and Gulhat and all martyrs who painted glory through their pure blood and demonstrated the reality of the fighting people, we condemn in the strongest terms the recent targeting by the Turkish state of Kobanî and Tal Abyad and its threats for seven years continuously, through its support for the IS organization and Jabhat al-Nasra and the armed gangs that are linked to the terrorist base or actually through the destruction machine of the Turkish occupation army, as happened in Afrin, the secure stable city.

We affirm that Ankara's threats, targeting and recent escalation mean, above all, a total blow to the resolution of the Syrian crisis in accordance with its political course on the UN relevant resolutions and the serious undermining of the efforts exerted in that regard. We also call on the international community, the United Nations and the Security Council, in particular the small group, to exercise their responsibilities and comply with the reality of their declared partnership, as well as the International Coalition against terrorism led by USA, with SDF and the Democratic Autonomous Administration of north and east Syria, with the aim of achieving a solid solution to the Syrian crises. Besides, mixing cards by each side that pursues its interest in the sustainability of violence and the destruction of the Syrians, especially the Turkish fascist regime and the choice of resistance and legitimate defense of the components of the people of Syria and the gains achieved thanks to the blood of thousands of martyrs is taken and is in place since the beginning of the Syrian crisis, it is our current and future decision.
