Despite lack of potential, service projects in Mabrouka town

The town of Mabrouka is located in the area of Serêkaniyê in al-Hasakah canton. It is 40 km away. It is followed by 24 villages, in addition to 18 communes. The population of the town of Mabrouka with its villages reached to 27 thousand people.

The town of Mabrouka, like other villages and towns in the area, was occupied by ISIS, which resulted in the damage of many of the town's houses, roads and streets, as well as roads between the villages of the town. However, the villages of Um al-Jarab, Sarli, Zanqat and Tal Talj among the most affected roads.

At the request of the residents of the town, the municipality submitted a letter to the Municipalities Body in al-Jazeera region demanding the paving of roads with asphalt material, but the municipality was unable to meet the request of the municipality because of the lack of potentials and the lack of availability of asphalt during the current year.

The Municipality of Mabrouka submitted another project, which includes the maintenance of the damaged roads. After the approval of the Municipalities Body, the municipality began to implement the project

According to the co-chair of the Municipality of Mabrouka Sadam al-Abdullah, the project includes the maintenance of a distance of 60 kilometers of roads and streets, in particular the roads of the villages of Um al-Jarab, Sarli and Tel Talj.

Al Abdullah pointed out that the plan aims to complete the implementation of the project within 60 days, and the work was started 10 days ago. He pointed out that many of the roads in the town's countryside need maintenance, which will be dismantled later when the necessary potentials are available.
