Morad Qerillan: Erdogan tries to stay in Idlib till spring elections

This came during a meeting held by Stêrk TV with the member of the Executive Body of the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) Morad Qerillan as he talked about important things happening in Afrin and Idlib.

Erdogan tries to stay till next spring in Idlib

Qerillan said that the agreement held between Russia and Turkey on Idlib is an interim agreement. He continued, “Erdogan begged the Russian President Vladimir Putin at Sochi meeting and asked him to stay in Idlib until next spring in Idlib.”

Qerillan added, “Erdogan well know that if he leaves Idlib before the elections, he will be defeated in the elections so he tries to stay in Idlib till the elections. At the same time, Russia also had interests in holding this interim agreement.”

In Afrin, there are systematic ethnic cleansing operations

Morad Qerillan criticized the international silence about what is ongoing in Afrin by the Turkish occupation army, and he said that there are systematic ethnic cleansing operations taking place in Afrin.

Qerillan continued, “The Turkish state is conducting systematic ethnic cleansing operations in Afrin, and if we notice, we will see that the same countries that keep silent about the isolation imposed on the Abdullah Ocalan are silent about what is happening in Afrin as well. There are crimes committed against humanity. Where are the Human Rights organizations about what is ongoing in Afrin?  Afrin people are displaced, denied, and massacres are committed against them. They settle Arab families coming from al-Ghouta and other areas in Afrin and take the people of Afrin out from their homes.”

We will hold accountable everybody that tries to exterminate the people

Morad Qerillan said in the conclusion, “Our people must know that whoever tries to exterminate them would be held accountable. We will held accountable everybody participate in the massacres and the ethic purging operations. The Kurdish people can struggle against these violations. The most important thing here is that our people must exploit the opportunities that are available to them in the four parts of Kurdistan. The struggle must be escalated.”
