KCK: We need collective struggle against isolation

KCK issued on Monday a statement to the public opinion on the occasion of 9 October, the 20th anniversary of launching the international conspiracy against the Kurdish people leader Abdullah Ocalan.

The union confirmed through the statement that they have experiences and power to thwart the conspiracies, and pointed out that the Turkish occupation’s intensification of its attacks indicates that it is defeated.

The union also appealed to launch a collective struggle against the isolation imposed on the leader of the Kurdish people Abdullah Ocalan.

The statement included,

“We enter the 21st year of the conspiracy that began on October 9, 1998. We commemorate the martyrs of the resistance “You Cannot Block out Our Sun” which was launched against the international conspiracy against the leader. We salute our people who supported and support the leader and who are still resisting. We promise to step up the struggle against the conspiracy and liberate the leader Ocalan.

The leader has been held in solitary for 20 years. They impose a strict isolation on him that has not been imposed on any prisoner in the world. Since 2011, his lawyers have not been allowed to meet him, and since April 2015, his family has not been allowed to visit him. Before a period, they issued a decree depriving his lawyers of visiting him for six months under the pretext of precautionary measures. In this way, they admitted that they put pressure on the prisoners. This system prevailed in Imrali has been existing for 20 years. In fact, it is a system of exerting pressure on the Kurdish people as they exert pressure on the entire Kurdish people in the personality of the leader Ocalan.

“You Cannot Block out Our Sun” Resistance

The reason of exerting this pressure on the leader is that the Kurdish people have not backed down from the resistance. The leader's thought and policy make the Kurdish people insist on resisting against the conspiracies. Since the day of the plot, there has been a great struggle. The leader and our Movement have also been resisting against the conspiracy for 20 years in order to foil it, they have been able to change the course of the plot.

The peoples of the Middle East have entered a new phase

Today, the leader Ocalan has become a leader of freedom and democracy not only for the Kurdish people, but for all the peoples of the Middle East. The leader launched resistance against the capitalist and authoritarian regime by imposing a socialist system based on the democratic confederation. The democratic nation's approach stood against the sectarian strives in the Middle East and opened the way for the free and democratic life. With the mentality of the democratic nation, the people of the Middle East enter a new phase.

The Kurdistan Freedom Movement has become the hope to achieve the free life for the peoples based on the approach and thought developed by the leader Ocalan. Our Movement led by the approach and thought of the leader Ocalan has entered a stage that will open the way for many developments. No matter how the reactionary forces would launch attacks on our Movement through the Justice and Development Party and the Nationalist Movement, they will face the will of our Movement that is eager for achieving freedom and democracy for the peoples. We will break all the attacks and the way for democracy and the free life would be opened in the Middle East.

Because they reached the stage of falling, they increases their attacks

Since the international conspiracy against the leader and until now, in the last 20 years has evolved the mindset of freedom and democracy among the Kurdish people, the Kurdish struggle for freedom has taken a social trait. They could not sever the connection between the Kurdish people, Commander Abo and the PKK, and on the other hand they could not break the will of their freedom. Whenever the ideology of freedom develops and the will and organization of the Kurdish people intensified the occupied countries from the attacks of genocide against it. The reason for the increase in the attacks of the Turkish occupation state is that it approached the stage of falling in all aspects: political, economic, social, military and cultural, as happened in 1998 and as it did not achieve any results in 1990 despite the use of all its military power and approached the abyss, it is living the same situation today.

“We have the power that will thwart the conspiracy”

The AKP-MHP authority is trying to rely on the external forces and to receive the political, economic and military support such as getting out of its crisis as happened in 1998. The position of the European Human Rights’ Court towards the strict isolation and the pressure and torture in Imrali expresses Germany's support to the fascist authority and the support of the United States of America in Idlib to this authority and the attempt to keep it as happened in 1998 in are an attempt to extricate the Turkish state from its crisis and prevent it to be fallen and collapsed, but the strength and experience of our Movement, the Freedom Movement and the mentality of our people and their free will have earned us the power that would be able to thwart the attacks and the new conspiracy.

We must struggle in all respects

The strict isolation imposed on the leader Ocelan, the pressure exerted on our people and all the democratic forces and the attacks on the Freedom Movement run in the form of a new conspiracy. Therefore, our people and all the democratic forces must struggle against the conspiracy that would be developed as done on October 9, 1998 when our people showed great resistance and struggle. To confront of the isolation imposed on leader Ocalan and those who support this isolation, the struggle must be escalated in all respects and the conspiracy must be broken.

Kurdistan would be liberated

In this context, we appeal to the youths, women and all the Kurdish people to step up the struggle to achieve the freedom of the Kurdish people and the freedom of leader Ocalan. We also call for the peoples of Turkey and the democratic forces to stand beside the Kurdish people and step up the struggle against the AKP-MHP because democratizing Turkey will be achieved by standing against the isolation imposed on the leader and the pressure exerted on the Kurdish people.

With the struggle of our people and the democratic forces, AKP-MHP and all the forces of conspiracy would be defeated. The freedom of leader Ocalan will bring democracy to Turkey and Kurdistan.”
