The Educational Youth's Institute for Rehabilitation and Training in al-Hekomia village of al-Raqqa city has been able to graduate 5 consecutive courses, and began its sixth session with the participation of 37 young men and women from al-Raqqa city and its countryside.

The Institute seeks to develop the level of young people after being subjected to the worst types of injustice and marginalization during the past years to be able to return to play their role in building their city.

The Youth Educational Institute for Rehabilitation and Training was opened in al-Hekomia farm in rural al-Raqqa on 16 September 2017, with the aim of training and developing young people to build a free democratic society and to play an active role in society.

Since the opening, 5 successive courses with graduated the Institute the participation of nearly 200 young men and women from al-Raqqa city and its countryside.

The course was attended by 37 trainees, of whom 24 were young men and 13 young women. The course will last for 40 days, during which the trainees will receive intellectual and educational lessons, culture and art, and a week to learn the use of computer and camera techniques.

The course is based on a structured program that starts from 6 am to 4 pm, starts with morning sports, and then the trainees meet for breakfast.

In the eighth, the trainees enter the study hall which lasts until 11.00 pm, after which the afternoon break begins at 1 pm, and then the lessons program resumes until 4 pm.

After the end of the study period, the trainees are only able to talk about what they have received during the day. In the evening hours, they often specialize in watching documentaries or organizing awareness lectures by the trainees themselves.

The trainee Rehab Ramadan al-Sheikhan said: "The reason for my participation in this session is to strengthen my character and to do my duty effectively in the community, so I presented to women and to myself in particular a new path towards women's freedom.

Ahmed al-Othman said: "The aim of these courses is to educate and strengthen young people on successful management, because young people are the basis for building a free and democratic Syria and in order to build revolutionary youth I advise young men and women from al-Raqqa city whom suffer of darkness over four years to train through self-intellectual training to correct society through the criticism and self-criticism they have known through the academy and to rebuild their city again.
