They organized themselves in the Diaspora within a football team that includes all the components of the Kurds, Arabs and Syriac, with the aim of raising the name of Rojava and called themselves the Rojava Team.

A group of Rojava's youth of the Kurds, Arabs and Syriac who emigrated from the region at different times and settled in Austria organized themselves in a small team at the beginning (the Sevens team), and over time established an integrated football team name "Rojava Team " under the custody of the Komela Kurdi in Vienna.

After six months of the team's founding, it decided to participate in the Austrian national leagues. The team has played 25 league games since its inception and has not lost a match in the league. The team has won 20 matches, equalized in 5, and the team is considered of the strongest of class 2 teams in Austria.

In 2018 the team obtained official approval to play in the Austrian league from the Austrian Sports Union.

Farzat Jamil

The team includes all components of northern Syria from the Kurds, Arabs and Syriacs, the team is participating in the Austria league, in the group (class 2), which includes 9 teams, and has so far played five games and won them all.

One of Rojava Team's managers, Farzat Jamil, explained to ANHA agency ," the Sports Union is overwhelmed with the performance of their team."

The Austrian Sports Union has told us that if we win all the games at this level, the team will be advanced two stages rather than one stage, due to the skill and fitness of our players."
