Ocalan's lawyer: Illegal methods were being followed in Imrali prison

The request of the Abdullah Ocalan family to visit their son was rejected by the Imrali prison administration under the pretext of "precautionary measures" on  September 14. before this, the Public Prosecution refused 93 requests to visit Ocalan on the arguments that the boat to Imrali needs repair or that the situation Emergency.

The Bursa prosecutor's office also issued a decision preventing Ocalan's lawyers from meeting their client for six months. On this matter, Ocalan's lawyer, Ibrahim Belmaz, spoke to ANHA agency.

We do not know what is going on in Imrali

Belmaz  said, "We are all Ocalan's lawyers, we do not know what is going on in Imrali prison, we do not know why they are protesting against the precautionary measures," he added "We have no news of anything. Depending on the stage and protect our client, and we cannot get information about our client in any way, and this indicates the seriousness of the situation. "

They do not say what the cause of "precautionary measures"!

Belmaz  noted, "They made this argument in 2010 when Ocalan was alone in the Imrali prison many times," adding that "Ocalan said words and sentences in the meetings we had with him." This is because Ocalan said "learning in mother tongue is a right. "But after many years, we do not know why they are presenting this argument ?!"

There are no rights everywhere in Turkey

Belmaz  said, "As lawyers, we will use all legal methods and means, we will send the" precautionary measures "argument to the Constitutional Court, but there are no rights .When the community closed its eyes to the immorality of Imrali, In the whole of Turkey. "

Belmaz noted that the argument presented to prevent Ocalan's visit, which is precautionary measures, contradicts the arguments made to prevent the visit of the other detainees. "There are no human rights in Imrali prison, and they have reached high levels and have gone too far, adding that they do not care about international conventions

Ibrahim Belmaz said at the end of his speech that the Turkish authorities are trying to prevent the rights in the whole society and he called on the Committee against Torture and the Court of Human Rights in Europe to intervene in the situation.
