Explosive device killed 2 people in Kirkuk, injured 15 others

2 people were wounded and 15 others got injured on Tuesday when an explosive device blasted on the road in al-Rashad area of Kirkuk in north of Iraq.

A spokesman for the Iraqi Ministry of Health Saif al-Bader said that an explosive device exploded during the passage of a bus in al-Rashad district of Kirkuk, killing two people and wounding 15 others. The statement added, "9 wounded remained in the hospitals for receiving the medical treatment."

Al-Sumaria news quoted from a security source saying, "An explosive device was placed on the side of Baghdad-Kirkuk road and it exploded on Tuesday when a wheel of the members of the Federal Police passed across the road which led to leaving killed and injured."

The source that asked not to be named said that a security force besieged the incident and transferred the injured to a nearby hospital for receiving the medical treatment, and the two bodies were taken to the forensic medicine."
