New advance in battle to defeat terrorism, liberating dozens of civilians

The Media Center of the Syrian Democratic Forces issued a statement revealing the outcome of the ongoing fighting in the countryside of Deir ez-Zor as part of the battle to defeat terrorism, which stated:

1. Al-Bagouz axis: Our forces clashed with the terrorist organization of ISIS, which caused painful blows, amid significant progress of our forces inside the town and control of many mercenary points and fortifications.

In the midst of these clashes, the mercenaries relied on planting the mines and booby traps to disrupt the advance of our forces, while their defense lines saw a collapse in front of the blows of our fighters, and the clashes moved into the center of the village.

Clashes continued since Sunday evening until this morning, where our forces were able to establish 12 fixed points inside al-Baguoz and fortify them against the mercenaries, and the artillery of the International Alliance played an important role in targeting the fortifications of the mercenaries and destroying them.

2 – al-Sousa axis: Since Sunday evening, our forces began to move again towards the town and clashed with the mercenaries face to face, where the most violent clashes in which the mercenaries used explosive belts, and twin suicide bombers, resulting in the martyrdom of  2 of our fighters and wounding others.

Later, our forces completed their control of the course of the clash, advancing 2 km and liberating 11 points from the mercenaries' grip, while intermittent artillery shelling continued on this axis.

3 - Clashes between the two axes since Sunday, witnessed the death of 13 mercenaries and injuring a number we could not accurately determine, while the military engineering teams dealt with 4 landmines and twin suicide bombers with two belts, while the International Alliance aircraft carried out 6 attacks targeted the mercenaries' movements, and 2 of our fighters raised to the rank of martyrdom and 3 others were wounded.

4 - Humanitarian situation: For the second day in a row, a number of displaced people whose forces were able to secure their exit from the area of ​​the clashes to Iwa camp which established by our forces in al-Bahra village, where the teams began to receive them and provide accommodation to them and provide the necessary urgent.
