Mohammad Mousa: Regional forces may clash in Idlib

In an interview with ANHA agency, Mousa stressed that the Syrian war has entered a new phase in light of the gathering of all the mercenary and terrorist factions in Idlib and northern Hama under the direction of the Russian specifically, but these areas include more than 4 million people, which threatens social explosion in the absence of appropriate solutions with the starting of a military campaign against this area. "

"Regional and international parties such as Turkey, Iran and Russia, as well as the Syrian regime, are holding meetings in an effort to find solutions about the incidents of Idlib, but I believe that two opposing projects on the ground, on one hand the Syrian regime and Iranian and Russian support on the other hand, Turkey and its ambitions in Syrian territory.

A new round between the three countries, Russia, Iran and Turkey, had been held in the Iranian capital of Tehran last Friday to discuss the issue of the Syrian crisis, the most important of which is the file of Idlib province.

"If a new war breaks out in Idlib and other areas controlled by Turkish-backed groups, these forces are likely to clash on the ground, Russia is trying to create a balance between the Syrian and Turkish sides, but Russia can no longer play this role more than this, and it is unlikely that there will be consensus in this regard, because Turkey sees these occupied territories within the Syrian geography as its territory and it is impossible to waive it.

The secretary of the Kurdish Leftist Party said that "these developments, if they occur, will have a significant impact on Afrin canton also indirectly, because Afrin is Syrian land and part of Rojava areas and North Syria, so its liberation should be of its priority.

The three parties meeting in Tehran agreed on the determination to start a military campaign in the Syrian province of Idlib and to finally eliminate terrorism, according to the final statement of the summit.
