Interior Committee revealed security, military operation's outcomes in al-Tabqa

The Internal Committee of the Democratic Civil Administration of al-Tabqa area issued a statement on the security and military operation launched on a large scale to target the sleeper cells of IS mercenaries which tried to target the area and its countryside with several terrorist coward operations.

The statement was read at the center of the Internal Committee by the co-chair of the Internal Committee in al-Tabqa Mazloum Omar, the statement included,

"Al-Tabqa city and its countryside has recently witnessed many serious security incidents, where some terrorist organizations have sought to escalate their operations in order to destabilize the area’s security and stability. After careful investigation and follow-up the events, our security and military forces, in accordance with the data and plans prepared in advance by our competent bodies, carried out an expanded security operation that started on Friday, September 7, 2018 . The operation aimed at cleansing the whole area from whoever constitutes dangers to the life of the citizens and the security and stability of the area.

It was remarkable that the citizens cooperated with all the security and military forces and provided important information that enabled our forces to achieve their goals successfully. The operation resulted in arresting many persons belonging to the terrorist gangs with their various names and directions and confiscating many light, medium and heavy weapons that these gangs intended to use to launch attacks on the security and military points and target the public gatherings and markets in order to bring down as many civilian and military casualties as possible, but our forces and security devices thwarted those schemes and surprised those organizations with a rapid security operation, during which they managed to thwart all their bad schemes.

Our forces will continue with all their determination and strength their operations, arrest and defeat all those who wish to tamper with the security and stability of the area.

We also thank our people in al-Tabqa and its countryside for helping the security and military forces in neutralizing the danger and we promise them that we are continuing our operations. Our aim is to provide security and stability to everybody in order to live freely and with dignity."
