Shahuz Hassan: Afrin to affect Idlib's Battle

This came during an ANHA agency meeting with the Democratic Union Party(PYD) co-chair Shahuz Hassan who indicated that Idlib would impose a new situation in the Syrian crisis.

At the beginning of his speech, Hassan referred to the preparations of the regime and the discussions that revolve around Idlib and said ,"the occupied Turkish state is trying to get out the mercenaries from Idlib and send them to Afrin, Jrablos, al-Bab and Azaz."

Idlib will impose a new situation in the Syrian crisis

Hassan said that Idlib has an impact on whole of Syria, and said, "Iran is preparing itself significantly, but America and Israel are trying to get Iran out of Syria there are contradictions between America and Russia and at the same time between Turkey, Iran and Russia, so all countries are trying to gain their interests in Syria, Idlib may not solve the Syrian crisis, but will impose a new situation in the crisis."

Hassan touched upon to the resistance in Rojava since 7 years and said, "this struggle has had an impact on the Syrian situation and continues to affect," the liberation campaign of al-Raqqa has greatly affected and imposed a new reality, we saw great steps in Rojava and northern Syria. The mercenary factions in Idlib pose a great threat to Turkey

 Hassan said "These mercenaries pose a great threat to Turkey and they will become a big problem for Turkey", adding that the Turkish state plans to send the mercenary gangs in Idlib to Afrin, al-Bab, Azaz and Jrablos to be killed there."

Hassan noted that the Battle of Idlib will be staged in stages "so the Russian and Syrian planes are bombing, the areas that you determine slowly."

There are thousands of civilians not only in Idlib but also in Afrin

The Turkish occupation army launched an attack on Afrin canton on January20, using all sophisticated weapons, warplanes and tanks, shelling archaeological areas and destroying vital resources. The people of Afrin and YPG and  YPJ launched resistance operations to respond to the attacks of the Turkish occupation and resisted 58 days, and now the people of Afrin continue to resist in al-Shahba canton.

Shahuz Hassan said that the Turkish occupation state is committing violations of human rights. "What the Turkish occupation is doing is a demographic change, looting and killing, which is a big crime according to international law."

He added that all countries and human rights organizations are silent about these violations, but there is the struggle of our people.

He noted that this silence is unacceptable the interests of the states in Idlib, regardless of what happens and happening in Afrin, must see what is happening in Afrin as well, and work to bring the people of Afrin back to their homes.
