1st Day of children's festival in Kobanî concluded

The Children's Festival launched on Saturday at Baqi Kheddo Center for Culture and Art in Kobanî city with the participation of hundreds of children from Ain Issa, Girê Spî, Serin and Kobanî areas in the Euphrates region in addition to the children who came from Manbij.

The opening ceremony was attended by the co-chair of the Executive Council of the Euphrates region Anwar Muslim, the co-chairs of TEV-DEM Aisha Effendi and Ahmed Sheikho, and the administrators in the civil institutions in the region.

Anwar Muslim delivered the opening speech of the festival considering the festival as a way to build a generation that take of art as a necessity in its life, pointing out that the festival is the most appropriate way to develop their talents.

And then, one of the singing bands of the Baqi Kheddo Center for Culture and Art performed revolutionary and folkloric songs. The festival will continue for two consecutive days in Kobanî city and dozens of bands are scheduled to participate in performing their artistic paragraphs.
