Al-Jazeera's intellectuals: Isolation on Ocalan is contrary to international conventions

An intensive Isolation has been imposed against  the leader of the Kurdish people Abdullah Ocalan since two years by Turkish occupation and human rights organizations are still keeping silent, in this respect al-Jazeera region's intellectuals denounced the isolation imposed against Ocalan

The intellectual Yusuf Mulla explained that the goal of the isolation imposed on leader Ocalan to isolate him from the peoples of the region, which believes in the ideas of the democratic nation; the ideas that are the best solution to solve the outstanding problems, and said: "The Syrian crisis have been exacerbated since seven years following the conflicts that passed by be it sectarian or national and even religious, it brought only destruction, and in north Syria those who followed the principle and philosophy of the democratic nation put forward by leader Abdullah Ocalan achieved security and stability in the area, and the victories achieved by virtue of Syrian Democratic Forces and North Syria's people and east of Syria against the strongest terrorist organization in the world are clear evidence.

Turkey is afraid of leader Ocalan

Yusuf Mulla explained that the Turkish state is afraid of democratic ideas and imposed a strict isolation on the leader Ocalan to prevent the arrival of his ideas and philosophy to the people who advocate and struggle for their freedom.

Yusuf Mulla pointed out that the Turkish authorities' practices against the leader are contrary to international norms, covenants and international human rights laws and called international, human rights, humanitarian organizations and the United Nations not to turn a blind eye to the isolation imposed on the leader.

The Co-chair of the Union of Intellectuals in al-Jazeera canton Laila Ibrahim Mustafa, she said "We, as the Union of Intellectuals, we see that leader Ocalan is an international figure where he put his thoughts to all peoples, components and religions of the world, not as claimed that his ideas are within the scope of Kurdish nationalism. "She pointed out that Ocalan put the cornerstone of the project of democratic nation and Autonomous Administration, which is now applied in North Syria."

Laila Ibrahim showed that the books and blogs of leader Ocalan became the main reference to resolve the crises of countries in the world, she said  "Evidence of this is that many of the ideas having been taught in the universities and institutes in many countries of the world states, this confirms to the world that the leader put forward his ideas for the whole world and not for a specific people or region.

The goal of isolation is to prevent the arrival of the leader's directives to the peoples of the region

For her part, Laila Ibrahim said that the aim of the isolation imposed on leader Ocalan by the Turkish authorities in order to prevent the arrival of the leader's directives to the peoples of the region through family visits or his lawyer. "This has led to absolute isolation where no news were heard about the status of the leader for nearly two years at all."

Laila Ibrahim said, "As intellectuals, we have to put our words against the isolation imposed on the leader, demanding of the world state and human rights organizations about the reasons for their silence towards the isolation imposed on leader Abdullah Ocalan."

The Co –chair of intellectuals union in al-Jazeare region, Laila Ibrahim Mustafa, called on human rights organizations and the United Nations to pressure the Turkish government to back down from its inhuman practices against leader Ocalan and the systematic isolation imposed on him two years ago without any information on his condition.
