Thought Academies... spread science, culture, with it revolution will win

Because of the suffocating siege and the repeated attacks by the coalition mercenaries on Sheikh Maqsoud neighborhood, the academies of the democratic society have not been able to open a center in the neighborhood, so the residents and the members of the civil institutions in the neighborhood were receiving their closed intellectual training in the academies of the democratic society in Afrin and al-Jazeera.

After the resistance of the people of the neighborhood next to the fighters of People and Women Protection Units, they were able to exile the mercenaries from the walls of the neighborhood and restore security, the academies of the democratic community  was opened center on al-Eshrin Street in the western section in June of 2017.

Since its inception, the Academy has completed six closed intellectual courses, in which hundreds of trainees have graduated, while the open courses have reached three sessions, and each session has included 25 to 30 trainees.

The work of the Academy

The way of the Academy is to organize closed sessions of 15 to 30 days depending on the trainees' competencies. Open courses start from 8 am to 4 pm.

For the Communes, its members are trained periodically at the Academy Center every two weeks.

Its lessons are about the history and geography of Kurdistan, patriotism, the reality of leadership, culture and ethics, private war, women's history, geology, history of Syria, the revolution of Rojava, the democratic nation, the legitimate defense, compassionate spirit, criticism and self-criticism "and other lessons according to terms of reference."

Academic, knowledge of science and culture

As for the need to open the academy and its importance, the co-chair of the academy, Ahmed Jafar, said in an interview with ANHA correspondent: "The academy is a knowledge, a science and a culture, we started training the people of the neighborhood with its dignity and its Arabs to build a moral conscious society that recognizes its history and culture through their intellectual organization

Jafar stressed the need for training from time to time because the area is subject to political change.

As for the benefit of trainees from the training of the academy, Jafar said that they notice a relative progress in the personality of the trainees, and in the next stage will be more progress by subjecting them to other courses

At the end of his speech, Ahmed Jafar, said that the old revolutions of their regime depended on the head of the clan or the elders and Sheikhs. Their revolution was limited to the military only, without a place to train or educate the people intellectually and politically, so they did not reach their goal, this revolution was preceded by revolutions caused by training.
