Commander in YBŞ: We promise to revenge for Mam Zaki

ŞENGAL

The commander of YBŞ Zerdeşt Şengalî spoke to (ANHA) about the attacks launched by the Turkish occupation army’s warplanes on August 15 which targeted the member of the Yazidi community coordination Zaki Şengalî. Şengalî explained that the Turkish state has targeted the Yazidi community again by launching brutal attacks on it, believing that the martyrdom of Mam Zaki Şengalî would undermine the will of the Yazidi community and weaken its power.

Şengalî said that Mam Zaki has struggled for 39 years for the Kurdish people and the Yazidi community and said, "The basis of the Yazidi community’s cohesion and the symbol of faith for the Yazidi community were manifested in the personality of Mam Zaki. The month of August is a symbol of blackness and pain for the Yazidi community and the martyrdom of Mam Zaki added new pain to their suffering. The enemy, through targeting Mam Zaki, wanted to target the Yezidi community and undermine its will, but the enemy must know that revenge for Zaki would bring us strength.”

The Turkish state fabricate pretexts to attack Şengal

Before a period, the Turkish state has threatened to attack Şengal under fake pretexts of the presence of the PKK in it. It is worth mentioning that the PKK came out of Şengal officially on March 23, 2018. On the threats of the Turkish state, Zerdeşt Şengalî said, "The Turkish state is looking for arguments to attack Şengal. One of these arguments is the existence of the PKK in Şengal, but the whole world knows that the PKK officially got out of Şengal under the observation of the Iraqi government. The Turkish state always targets the Yazidi community through the thought of Jihadists. All the racist states must know that if attacks are launched on Şengal, they will face great resistance by YBŞ, Şengal Women Units and the Yazidi community because the Yazidi community organized itself on the approach of the martyr Mam Zaki Şengalî. Our military forces reached high levels of determination to respond to the attacks of the occupying Turkish state."

The commander of YBŞ Zerdeşt Şengalî described the position of the Kurdistan Democratic Party and the Iraqi government as treachery and continued, "The Iraqi government opened the way to the Turkish state’s aircrafts and this is a betrayal. The KDP has abandoned the people during the attacks on Şengal, and today, the same treachery is repeated in Şengal. For the second time, they have cursed the Yazidi people in their back. The KDP and the Iraqi government are not committed to any moral standards. Throughout history, they have continued betraying the Kurdish people. Those traitors who participated in the martyrdom of Mam Zaki Sengali will be held accountable for their act, and we will respond strongly at the right time and place."
