Yazidi youths: We will not stand idly about conspiracy against Şengal

The convoy of the member of the Yazidi community coordination Zaki Şengali was attacked by the occupation army with drones on 15 August after their participation in the ceremony of the martyrs’ commemoration of Kujo's massacre, in which dozens of the Yazidi people were martyred. In the result of the attack, zaki Shengali was martyred. The youths pledged the Yazidis in Şengal to take revenge and continue the struggle of Mam Zaki.

In this context and in an interview with Hawar news agency (ANHA), the young woman Sabiha Sabri said, "In commemoration of the martyrs of Kujo village, Mam Zaki Şengali who was the great father of the Yazidi people, especially the young group and the teacher of knowledge and the Yezidi culture, and always aimed at organizing the people to have a strong will was targeted."

There is no difference between IS and the Turkish attacks on Şengal.

Sabiha has explained that there is no difference between IS attacks against the Yazidi people and the plot planned by the Turkish occupation and its agents to target Mam Zaki Şengali. Sabiha Sabri said, "This conspiracy aimed at undermining the will of the Yazidi people because Zaki had a great deal in organizing the Yazidi people after the massacre committed by IS in 2014."

Sabiha has promised to retaliate and continue struggling until Mam Zaki’s hopes to unify the Yazidi community at all levels would be achieved.

For his part, Ahmed Barakat made clear that the young men and women of Yazidkhan will retaliate against those who targeted Mam Zaki, and said, "We, like the Yezidi youths, will not forgive the betrayal of the Kurdistan Democratic Party against the Yazidi people again. Their history is full of treasons. In every plot carried out against the Kurdish people, treason is involved."

The Yezidi people have will, power

Ahmed Barakat sent a letter to the Kurdistan Democratic Party, "We tell them enough treason, the Yazidi people have not been as they were. Today, the Yazidi community, especially the Yezidi youths have will and power, through which they can stand against anyone who tries to attack the sacred lands of Şengal.”

In her part, Zahra Suleiman showed that Mam Zaki who came to Şengal after the 2014 massacre had a great role in organizing the people and supported his people in that ordeal. Zahra Suleiman said, "Mam Zaki had a great position among the Yezidi people."

Zahra Suleiman considered the August 15th day as a black day in the Yazidi people's history, and said, "On this day, hundreds of the Yazidi people have become victims of the terrorist thought of IS and the great betrayal of the KDP as their betrayal continued until they targeted Mam Zaki, who was a symbol of the unity of the Yazidi people, by a plot.

Zahra continued, "If the KDP and the Iraqi government remain silent about the attack on Mam Zaki, this indicates their participation in his martyrdom, and we affirm that revenge is our goal and we will not stand idly towards this filthy plot."
