HPC's conference concluded with forming council

The first conference of the Society Protection Forces (HPC) was held on Sunday morning at Newroz Hall in Kobanî city, in the presence of 800 members of HPC's forces in addition to the participation of the co-chair of the Democratic Society Movement (TEV-DEM) in Kobanî canton Ahmed Sheikho and the co-chair of the Defense and Self-Protection Body in Kobanî canton Esmet Sheikh Hassen.

The conference works began with delivering a speech by the co-chair of the Defense and Self-Protection Body in the Euphrates region Esmet Sheikh Hassan who discussed the importance of protection and its main role in protecting the gains of the revolution.

The report of the Protection Council over the past three years was read by the members Akhin Ibrahim and Nujin Mohammed.

After that, a short film about the suffering of the Kurds in Şengal, Kobanî and other areas during the past decades at the hands of the authoritarian regimes in the area in addition to IS attacks and massacres of the Turkish occupation against them was presented.

The rules of procedure were then read in Arabic and Kurdish, and the organizational situation was assessed during the conference through the participation of the participants during their opinions and interventions which focused on the importance of strengthening protection in the canton, especially in the border villages.

At the end of the conference, 35 members of the council were elected as administrators of HPC after the elections were held.
