Mercenaries prevent al-Gouta People from leaving Afrin

After the occupation of Afrin by the Turkish army and mercenaries and as a result of the Turkish-Russian understandings, thousands of families of the mercenary gangs’ elements and the people of the Eastern al-Ghouta were settled in Afrin city and its villages and areas. According to reports, clashes erupted between the civilians and the mercenary gangs, and they have resulted in killing a number of civilians. According to the information, the people of al-Ghouta who wish to leave Afrin are being attacked by the mercenary gangs.

Local sources told Hawar news agency that two families of al-Ghouta were attacked by the mercenaries while they were preparing to leave Afrin and go to al-Ghouta. The sources confirmed that the mercenaries of al-Hamzat gangs attacked the residents and prevented them from leaving Afrin in order to continue the occupation. According to reports, armed clashes erupted between the members of al-Ghouta families and the mercenaries of al-Hamzat, leaving killed and wounded within the two sides without any confirmed information on the numbers of dead and wounded.

It is not the first incident of its kind

According to local sources, this incident is not the first of its kind when the mercenaries prevent the families from leaving Afrin, and this results in breaking out clashes. According to the sources, the ongoing differences and clashes between the mercenary gangs increase the desire of the people of al-Ghouta and the families of the mercenaries to leave Afrin as the victims of the clashes are mostly civilians in addition to the escalation of military operations carried out by the People and Women Protection Units (YPG and YPJ) against the mercenaries in Afrin.
