Elders: DAA project is only savior to Syrian crisis

Hawar news agency held a meeting with a number of notables on the project of the Autonomous Administration and its importance and achievements.

The elder of al Zubid clan Ragheb al-Fares said, "The Autonomous Administration project is based on the principle of co-existence among all components. Since the beginning of the Syrian revolution, the peoples in Rojava and North Syria have taken the Autonomous Administration project as a basis for themselves and have organized themselves and achieved many achievements, especially the security and safety witnessed in the area in contrast to other Syrian areas.

Al-Fares noted that the project included all the components of the Kurds, Arabs and Syriacs. The people began organizing themselves in phases. The first phase started with a basic rule, forming the communes and councils, in addition to forming a military force to defend the homeland.

Al-Fares said, "Since the establishment of the Autonomous Administration to this moment, the areas in North Syria have witnessed a real recovery in various economic, social and political fields. The Autonomous Administration has worked to put an end to the unemployment phenomenon during the opening of many economic projects, achieving the self-sufficiency and providing employment opportunities. The people of the area liberated and protected their areas through YPG, YPJ, SDF, and Self-Defense Forces which contain all the people of the area have, and they also brought stability to the area."

The elder of Bani Sabaa clan Saleh al-Ahmad said, "The Autonomous Administration in North Syria is the only savior of the Syrian people despite the battles and devastation that Syria experienced. The Autonomous Administration project proved to the world that the people can manage themselves and no one can defeat them as the defeat of IS from the lands of North Syria is the best example of that."

Saleh said that the Syrian people are optimistic about the project of the Autonomous Administration and their confidence in this project increased when the Syrian Democratic Forces confirmed their willingness to exchange the kidnappers of the Suwayda with IS mercenaries detainees. This improves that it is a democratic project for all areas of Syria. He said, “We hope that this experience would be applied to all the Syrian areas.”

Saleh al-Ahmad said, “We are able to manage our areas and we are capable of assuming the responsibility that we have derived from the foundations of the democratic nation, and the ideology and philosophy of the leader Ocalan which spread all around the world."
