Amidst the large number of displaced persons whose number over 13 thousand displaced persons, the camp administration is working diligently to provide all necessary assistance to the displaced and to facilitate their affairs inside and outside the camp and work in solving their problems in coordination with the reconciliation committee composed of displaced people.

There are 2,700 tents in the camp; it is organized in the form of sectors. The sector consists of 5 blocks and the block consists of 20 tents, and each sector has a "commune" that supervises hundreds of tents.

Camp’s Administration

The camp administration works in full swing to facilitate the displaced persons' entry and exit to the camp and to provide them with employment opportunities through service and humanitarian organizations, in addition to visits inside and outside the camp and providing work cards for displaced people free of charge so they can go out of the camp to work without bothering from anyone.

On a daily basis, 6 thousand people are given a package of bread, meals and fruit.

The head of the displaced persons committee at Ain Issa camp, Jalal al-Ayyaf, said that they are working to facilitate the entry and exit of internally displaced persons in the camp, and to secure organizations to support the displaced in cooperation with Refugees Commission and Blumont, Inc.as partner to facilitate the service affairs.

Reconciliation Committee

The Reconciliation Committee was established in March of this year, it consists of 13 elderly people who are residents of the camp and have a good reputation among the displaced.

The work of Coordinating Committee is to coordinate between the members of the Reconciliation Committee and the displaced people to enumerate the number of problems and identify the most harmful problem and directly solve them.

The Grievances Committee considers the situation of the displaced person if any one is beaten by a displaced person and works to reconcile them to avoid problems. If the members of one family got job opportunities and another family did not, the Grievances Committee will intervene to solve the problem and work for equality between the two families.

The Women's Committee is working to solve the problems of displaced women, if a woman is subjected to injustice from her husband or by other displaced women among each other where the problem is resolved in coordination with the women's administration in the camp.

The problems of the committee have reached more than 200 problems, the reconciliation committee is not only working in the camp but also it had solved more than 20 problems outside the camp.

In the event of deaths in the camp, the Reconciliation Committee will assign delivering the deceased to his family and oversee the burial ceremonies.

Abu Ahmed called for securing an official office for the committee and a means of transport so that they could roam the camp out of their way to solve problems.

The official of the women's section in the Reconciliation Committee, Jamila Mohammed Ali also a displaced woman from al-Raqqa city handles women's issues and works to solve their problems, she pointed out that most of the problems were divorce cases, so they seek to alleviate, settle the dispute.
