Expanded meeting held in Serin

The Democratic Society Movement, in coordination with the Democratic Autonomous Administration in Kobanî canton, held an expanded meeting for the residents of Serin area on the latest political developments on the Syrian arena.

On Monday, an expanded meeting was held for the people of the southern area of Kobanî canton in a series of meetings organized by the Democratic Society Movement and the Democratic Autonomous Administration of Kobanî canton to inform the people about the recent political developments in the Syrian geography and the role of the neighboring countries in the ongoing war in the country.

In addition to the sheikhs and the women who attended the meeting which held at the Cultural Center in Serin town, the member of Kongra Star coordination in the Euphrates region Biman Aydin, the co-chair of the Social Affairs and Labor Authority Sherin Othman, and the administrator of the Democratic Society Movement Abdul Rahman Dumar attended the meeting.

With the beginning of the speech delivered by Abdul Rahman who presented an explanation and assessment of developments on the ground at the organizational level in the area, Abdul Rahman said that the area reached a large level in the field of prosperity in all aspects, while he explained the reasons for some of the shortcomings that appeared in the services provided to the people of the area.

The member of Kongra Star coordination in the Euphrates region Biman Aydin delivered a speech in which she talked about the political developments on the Syrian territory and touched on the visit of a delegation from northern Syria to the Syrian capital Damascus. Biman Aydin  stressed that the talks are ongoing while no agreements have been held so far, noting that any agreement may be in the interest of the Syrian people which have been suffering from the cycle of conflict since more than 7 years.

While the door opened for discussion to those who stressed the need for the unity of the political forces and the Syrian people to take the occupying forces such as Turkey and Iran out of the Syrian territory. On the other hand, many of the attendees appealed to improve the service situation of Serin town.

It is worth mentioning that the meeting of Serin is the second in a series of the meetings organized by the Democratic Society Movement and the Democratic Autonomous Administration in order to inform the people about the political situation of the area.
