Corpses recovered from Zoo, other mass grave found

Mass graves had been found with the help of al-Bedouin neighborhood's people in al-Raqqa city, which has dozens of corpses, and the team started working after the finishing of recovering the corpses from the zoo.

These mass graves had been caused by Islamic State's gangs where the people of al-Raqqa were buried by brutal ways and mass graves were discovered by al-Bedouin neighborhood's people in the city center, they were found in house whose return to civilian person unknown ID where (IS) had dug mass grave and buried the people there.

The Administrator in initial response team Yasser al-Khmies said "We are continuing to pull up the corpses in al-Raqqa city's neighborhoods and its countryside until the completion of the recovery operation, which exceeded1650, the team conducts field trips through which to search for mass graves or under the rubble, but most of the mass graves were discovered with the help of the people who inform the team of their place, where the team in turn pull up all the existing corpses"

Information about the team

The initial response team belonging to al-Raqqa Civil Council was established with launching Wrath of Euphrates campaign to liberate al-Raqqa city's countryside. Since its establishment the team has worked to develop the work and gain the necessary expertise and skills to enter al-Raqqa city.

Within the team there is a forensic doctor whose task is to identify the corpse and document it through the identification papers where the corpse which do not have identification papers that are kept as unknown.
