Cultivation prosperous for vegetables ,cotton in Tirbesipi

The farmers in Tirbesipi district in al-Jazzera region in North Syria  to cultivate cotton and vegetables significantly during the current year, after the provision of the agricultural institution in the disrict support for them, as the cultivation has declined during the past years due to lack of fertilizers and medicines.

The area planted with summer vegetables in the area during the current year 2018, to 8290 acres, and the area of land planted with cotton, 3961 acres.

With the beginning of the current world 2018, the Agriculture Institution held a series of meetings with farmers to identify the problems that led to the decline in the percentage of vegetables and cotton in the region and how to provide the necessary services. During that meeting, there were several obstacles affecting the agricultural reality within the region, lack of fuel oil for farmers and the lack of pesticides.

In order to prevent damage and disease to agricultural crops, the Agricultural Institution  distributed medicines to control insects harmful to summer agricultural crops, and provided fertilizer to farmers according to farmers' need. The amount of urea fertilizer was 169 tons for farmers, 420 tons in cash, 35 tons of soil fertilizer in cash.

The administrator in the Agriculture Institution in Tirbesipi district Mohammed Amin Musa explained that the institution provides all necessary to farmers, with the aim of increasing agricultural production of farmers, and in order to achieve self-sufficiency, as the area of the soil is famous for the cultivation of vegetables and cotton.

He appealed to Fuel Committee and the Center for Sadekop fuel to provide more fuel for the institution, as the district needs every two days to 50 thousand liters, while they were offering them 40 thousand liters.
