Expanding medical departments, specialties at Khalid Fajr Hospital in Aleppo

From a field medical point established to treat the war-wounded to an integrated hospital serving thousands of patients in Aleppo, and in view of the need for new departments initiated by the hospital management to establish internal departments and children to accommodate the cases of illness and ambulances.

As part of the development of Khalid Fajr Hospital in Sheikh Maksoud neighborhood in Aleppo, with the increasing need to expand and establish hospital departments, the hospital administration has expanded the necessary medical specialties with its cadres, and it is getting ready to receive and accommodate all cases of illness and ambulances.

The departments that have been expanded include neurology, dermatology, children, otolaryngology, urology, orthopedic, ophthalmology, internal radiography, cardiac, dental, and women and laboratory sections in addition to incubators.

The number of medical staff is 34, four of them volunteers and 82 nurses and employees serving thousands of families in Sheikh Maksoud and Aleppo generally.

According to hospital administrators, the number of visitors per day is 100, except that of dentist and gynecological sections because their numbers are higher than in all other cases, which sometimes reach 50 per day.

The administrator staff Welat Mamo at the Martyr Khaled Fajr Hospital confirms that the only organization that supports and serves them is the Kurdish Red Crescent Organization and some donations from patriots abroad.

As for the precise operations and means of carrying out, he said that the cadre is existed and the equipment is available and they are fully prepared to serve the people in all medical specialties except some of them due to the absence of the required equipment, while the hospital provides rooms for the sleep of some patients with a capacity of up to 25 people can be increased.

The hospital takes into consideration the financial conditions of the residents of the neighborhood. A list of prices is included, including reasonable prices. The doctors' fees are 200 SYP, except eyes’, which has is 500, unlike the outpatient clinics where seeing a doctor costs 2000 SYP and more.

The administrator at Khaled Fajr Walat Mamo Hospital confirmed at the end of his speech that they are fully prepared day and night and in full swing to serve the people of Sheikh Maksoud neighborhood in all possible ways to improve the health reality in the neighborhood.
