An industrial city in Girkê Legê over 23 thousand square meters

The industrial city of Girkê Legê located in middle of the residential neighborhoods, which is a source of inconvenience to the people, disrupts the work of the industrialists and obstacle the expansion of the industrial city.

Based on the appeal of industrialists and residents, the People's Municipality began studying the project of moving the industrial city out of the city in 2015, but the difficulty of finding suitable land area hindered the implementation of the project.

Industrial city on an area of 23 thousand square meters

After the efforts of the municipality and in coordination with the councils, communes and civil society institutions, the municipality found a piece of land to build the industrial city. The land lies between the city and Karziyarat village east of Girkê Legê. The area of the land to be built by the industrial city according to officials in the municipality stretches over about 23 thousand square meters, enough space to build a large industrial city enough to move the current industrial city to it.

280 have been participated so far in the industrial city

The construction of the industrial city is built on the basis of the contributions of industrialists and craftsmen. Artisans participate in monthly amounts and monthly installments determined by the municipality. These amounts are invested in building the industrial city.

According to officials, the industrial city, which the municipality has begun to implement, includes 280 shops and workshops. While the width of the streets within the city 25 meters, and the height of the buildings 4 meters. The city also has a large garden at the front, as well as sewage, drinking water, electricity, telephone networks and the Internet.

The project is still at the beginning of its implementation, where private workshops are currently working on drilling an artesian well, outlining the streets and digging sewage channels, and is scheduled to be completed within months.

Administrator in the technical committee in People’s Municipality in Girkê Legê Shaheen Basri said that the industrial city project is one of the large projects and very important for Girkê Legê distrcit for both the industrialists or the people. He stressed that the city will be equipped with all necessary facilities and services
