Water line extended to Rojava in Dêrik

The residents of Rojava neighborhood, north of Dêrik suffer from the continuous breaking of drinking water due to resorting the residents of the neighborhood to the random drawing of water as the neighborhood was newly included within the organizational chart of the municipality.

At the request of the residents of Rojava neighborhood, the water department of the people's municipality of Dêrik began implementing the project to extend the water network to Rojava neighborhood with the aim of reducing the random drawing and waste, and the delivery of water to the people of the neighborhood.

The co-chair of the water department in Dêrik Mohammed Amin Haji said that the department considered the requests of the inhabitants. After studying the project, they started on Saturday to implement it, and stressed that the project will contribute to limiting the waste of water and delivering the drinking water to the houses in addition to linking the neighborhood’s network with the main line to prevent leakage and waste.

According to Haji, the technical workshops will finish the completion of the project at the end of July.
